For Google Workspace admins

If your company only lets people install add-ons that an admin approved, an admin has to approve PipePanda before anyone in your company can use it.

The Marketplace listing link will be here after the listing is approved by Google. Until then, the add-on does not show in Marketplace search.

Allow people to install it themselves

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console at https://admin.google.com.
  2. Go to Menu > Apps > Google Workspace Marketplace apps > Apps list.
  3. Click "Allowlist app".
  4. Search for "PipePanda". Next to it, click "Select".
  5. Choose to allow the app, then click "Continue".
  6. Choose who can install it, then click "Finish".

People then find the add-on in the Google Workspace Marketplace under "Approved for you".

To check that people can install the apps you allowed: on the same Apps list page, click "User Install Settings". Under "Manage access to apps", "only allowlisted apps" lets people install the apps you allowed and nothing else. Click "Save" if you changed it.

Install it for people yourself

  1. In the Admin console, go to Menu > Apps > Google Workspace Marketplace apps > Apps list.
  2. Click "Install app".
  3. Search for "PipePanda" and click it.
  4. Click "Admin install", then "Continue". "Individual install" installs it only for your own account, so do not pick that one.
  5. Read the permissions the add-on asks for (listed below) and accept them.
  6. To install it for everyone, choose "Everyone at your organization" and click "Finish". To install it for some people, choose "Certain groups or organizational units", click "Next", pick the groups or organizational units, click "Select", then click "Finish".

The add-on then shows in the Gmail side panel for those people. Each person still connects their own Pipedrive account the first time they open it.

Changes can take up to 24 hours to reach everyone, but they usually take less.

What the add-on asks Google for

It cannot send or delete email. What we store and for how long is in the privacy policy.

If your company blocks third-party apps from Google data

Some companies also limit which apps can use Google data. That setting is under Menu > Security > Access and data control > API controls. If the add-on is blocked there, mark it as trusted. This needs the Service Settings administrator privilege.

  1. Go to Menu > Security > Access and data control > API controls.
  2. Click "Manage Third-Party App Access".
  3. Under "Configured apps", click "View list". If PipePanda is in the list, point to it, click "Change access", select "Trusted" and click "Change".
  4. If it is not in the list, click "Add app", choose "OAuth App Name or Client ID", search for "PipePanda" and click "Search". Point to it, click "Select", tick its client ID and click "Select" again. Then select "Trusted" and click "Configure".
